Coating Preparation

We exceed standards for coating preparation by removing virtually all contaminates and impurities prior to coating.

Steps:
Surface Prep | Coating Prep | Coating Application | Post Application

To prepare for the coating process, we mask or shield those areas that are not to be coated. This prevents any “overshot” deposition from collecting on those surfaces while only coating those areas specified by our customer.

We then measure the area to be coated, recording both the internal diameter and the external diameter. These measurements are assessed for depth and size of threads, holes, lateral distances, and more.

The part is then carefully placed on the rack in the correct proximity to metal evaporation units. The coating material is weighed and measured to ensure a uniform thickness on the part. It is then placed in the proper evaporation units within the tank.
